Distant memory

Whenever I see one of DaveH's facemasks hanging up to dry over the bath, it reminds me of some figures that I've seen in a drawing somewhere. Toyed with Giacometti, but no. Then I remembered, and finally tracked down the book. It reminds me of the strange 2-D creatures on the cover of The Planiverse - see extra!
