Old and new

I carry around a pocket sized student diary August - July as that is the shape of the year for me although I gave up teaching more than 30 years ago but by the side of the bed I have a usual January-December one usually with nice pictures per week, either quilts or paintings. This year Alan got a Faber poetry diary from Saltaire so I can read a poem or admire a classic book jacket every week.
