Soil

I took this on my walk this morning. It’s a very fresh and windy day today. I could have posted an image of the very large field to the left here, but that would have been less cheerful than this one, because after yesterday’s potato harvest, the field on the left is just a vast area of dry, bare earth, with giant machine tracks across it. In fact, it’s so dry that as I was walking this morning, I could see the soil being blown from the field in clouds, sailing through the air. Which doesn’t seem healthy to me - either for the land itself or for the walkers whose lungs some of that soil ends up in!
