Boston Castle
in reality a shooting lodge overlooking the Yorkshire town of Rotherham. I have yet to see inside it because the very restricted opening times never coincide with my visits to my old school which is close by.
Boston Castle was built around 1775 as a shooting lodge for the Earl of Effingham, nearby land was turned into a park to mark the centenary of American Independence, the park opened on the 4th July 1876.
