Skein after skein ....

of geese were arriving from the North all day and the woods in the walk to the loch echoed with their calls. Wonderful to hear and see. Also, a large flock of Crossbills were feasting in the Pine wood. There usual food is cone seeds, but some of these were eating the Birch bark. Took many shots to show this. A hot and sunny afternoon turned into a cooler evening.
