25 years in the NHS!

Today is 25 years to the day since I joined the NHS - this photo is from my first day (so please forgive me that it’s not strictly today’s blip!). I’ve been fortunate to work in many roles and organisations, with numerous brilliant colleagues. I hope I’ve done a bit to make things better for patients, albeit from a corporate rather than directly clinical perspective. Despite its challenges, I remain as committed as ever to its founding principles: a public healthcare system, based on need, free at the point of care.
