CRETE -DAY13

#trying to get a smile at breakfast (I only suggested he put lemon in his tea instead of milk!!)
I had requested a late check out which was no problem especially as they are only about 2O% full!!
#so we swam
#found the shade
#and read.
#I even sneaked in 1 last freebie glass of wine and went and sat by only pool we hadn’t tried.
Then we travelled about an hour to our new and final hotel in Gouves…we briefly stopped at a packed beach for lunch…we couldn’t wait to leave.
We weren’t impressed with our final destination and decided to check out the area…it’s very “rough round the edges”…lots of closed and half finished buildings. #However on closer inspection our apartments were ok (in fact we’d stay again). We were in the new block which looking through the reviews was the best option although the rest were quaint if a bit dated.
#in the evening we had a lovely meal at the recommended Minos restaurant.
