And Another Thing

Having girded our loins to continue the tour of Ireland yesterday, after Tuesdays crash, the fickle finger of fate struck us again!
Nick started to feel unwell with stomach pains during the afternoon. These became so intense that we arranged to visit a local doctor. He suspected what we did: appendicitis. So he sent us off to A&E in Galway, which was quite a drive.
After sitting and waiting in a corridor chair all evening/night/morning Nick eventually had a scan, which confirmed our fears. So, he had keyhole surgery early this evening and is now on a ward recovering. Hopefully he’ll be discharged within a couple of days.
My last 24 hours has been spent mostly hanging around in the campervan with Bramble in hospital and public car parks, and driving the van (something I’ve barely ever done) without damaging anything or anyone to find a campsite to hang out in for the next week or so, which actually worked out nicely (pic in extras)
