Project 365 day 265: Missed Opportunities
We drove past lots of good photo opportunities on the journey to and from London yesterday - but I didn't think the dirty windscreen and motion blur would make for good photos, and we didn't have time or safe places to stop. I intended to describe the morning mist from the ridge of the downs, and some of urban architecture and street scenes which caught my eye as I mentally framed and composed them, but I really don't have time now. After getting up at five and crawling through four hours of very slow traffic, we arrived at J's hospital appointment thirteen minutes late (after leaving home precisely thirteen minutes later than scheduled!). After a significant wait and a frustrating appointment which left us with no clear answers, we just wanted to go home. We stopped for a short while, for J's medication and to get out our flasks and snacks, in the large, grassy car park of Leeds Castle, just off the M20, which is an expanse of parkland with many beautiful, old trees. It had lots of empty space - we chose a view into the Go Ape treetop walkways, though J was disappointed that on a term time weekday afternoon they were entirely unpopulated.
