Minus 9

Don't let that brief bit of sun and blue sky fool you. He was measuring a wind chill of minus 9 in that exposed spot. We'd walked to Morrison's for the exercise and a bit of shopping.

You can see quite a few interesting things from here- the BMX track, the allotments, the A5 bypass and in the distance you can see 'Orthanc'. the ridge behind the allotments was going to be a road, but it never got built. Now it just separates two estates. The Stoneydelph lake where we feed the birds is just beyond the curve of the BMX track. We were not going to feed them today, just tiptoe by, but they looked so pitiful we gave them half a loaf from our shopping.
