Autumn now
Yesterday: Hound not eating for several days until small amounts after 5pm, consequently rapidly losing weight. Greyhounds not known for plumpness. Late afternoon vet phone call booked.
Digging, noise and strong petrol fumes in the street as pavements carved up for phone cables. Decided an outing needed. Had to get workman to put ramp over pile of dirt and gaping hole to exit home territory safely.
Trip to National Trust location for a change of scene. Beautifully peaceful. Sat on the grass in glorious sunshine and had dragonfly land on my leg and knee eventually settling on hat. Sadly camera shy and flitted as soon as lens primed! So you've got some static subjects instead. Choc cake and coffee after in sunshine before home where workmen just knocking off.
Good call with vet, prescribed anti-nausea medication.
Today: digging commenced shortly after 7am! OH collected medication from vet this morning. I went to get weekend shopping.
Gave hound pill early afternoon. It works for 24 hours. Lets hope we can get hound to eat dinner today, breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow until next pill. Fingers crossed.
Stay safe everyone and have a great Friday.
