Straight Point

Another beautiful day so I made the most of it and took the bus into Exmouth so that I could walk back along the beach to Straight Point as the tide was out and then take the coastal path homewards. Straight Point is a rifle range for the MOD but all was quiet today. I don’t think I have seen the birds lined up on the cliff before like they were today or was I bring more observant.
I am rather concerned re the Volcanic eruption in La Palma in the Canary Islands. Our holiday home is on the neighbouring island and we may be prevented from visiting this winter if the ash cloud becomes a problem. It is very sad to see the local people lose all their possessions and they are all homeless and won’t be able to return to their villages. We have visited the island twice but not the south of the island where the eruptions are taking place.
