Deery Me

A decent night’s sleep after weeks of insomnia.
Had already packed my bag to go to Elaine’s for the weekend but needed to give the grass some late summer treatment as it’s due to rain on Sunday and the timing was just right.
Dropped my repeat prescription off at the surgery then drove over to Roundhay.
We quickly went out to catch the first of three buses on our way to the Yorkshire Showground.
We passed Harewood House and l was delighted to see the deer in the grounds there.
You only get this view on top of a double decker!
Phone out quicker than greased lightning.
Then an unexpected call from the GP’s surgery to do my annual review on the phone, first time l’ve had one on the bus :-)

We arrived at the Gift and Fashion Fair with a bit of hesitation as in past years it has been so crowded.
It had about 15% the attendance of past years, not good for the smallholders but it felt so safe.
We both bought a scarf ( obligatory!) Elaine bought a jumper and a top.
Me, a T-shirt and a vase plus a couple of presents for a certain day in December.
Back at Elaine’s now having G&T and nibbles as dinner cooks in the oven.
