Walking back from Boots (the chemist) with some prescription items I noticed this street art/graffiti (choose your preferred option) on the side of a metal cabinet. It’s something new to Ambleside. The nearest we’ve had to this is initials carved in tree trunks!

Having tried self treatment for a skin problem with limited success (the over the counter cream from the chemist did help temporarily) I phoned the health centre this morning because it’s spreading. After listening to a long prerecorded message about how busy they were and please look for information on their website that would help/ring 111/ask the pharmacist, I waited and expected to be told to email photos or wait for a phone appointment. I was very surprised to be offered a face to face appointment for 11.15 today with the nurse practitioner. Fingers crossed that the treatment works.
