Enid Railroad Museum Oklahoma
When I started planning to come down here I knew tehre would be some time to kill. I asked Google what to do in Enid Oklahoma and this railroad museum is the first thing that comes up. It was put together by this guy who went by the name Watermelon, he grew diamond back watermelons which are some of the best watermelons around. He was also a conductor on a train for a bit of time. Watermelon passed away just short of being 100 years old not long ago but his wife still opens the place up from 1-4 Mon-Saturday. They had all sorts of cool railroad stuff that you could play with. About the only thing off limits was the model trains that were behind plexiglass, you could set a timer and watch them run around the track. Three different trains in three different gages going all over the place. The steam engine in the photo you could climb up in and play with all the levers, you could even ring the big bell off the front of it. My sister was just so darn excited by the whole thing, like a kid at Christmas. Made me happy to watch her run around and touch all the things.
