Petition to Scottish Parliament
Today we handed our petition with 1,554 signatures to Keith Brown, our local MSP, to give to Tom Arthur Minister for Planning in the Scottish Parliament.
We had hoped to give it to the Minister direct but he declined to respond to our request.
Also present was Alexander Stewart MSP and a local resident in Bridge of Allan who has supported our cause from the start along with Mike Watson, chair of our community council and Dr Ian Thomson first director of Stirling University Sports Department.
We hope the message will have got through that the local community do not want Judy Murray’s tennis centre and its executive housing, six hole golf course and hotel on this Greenbelt between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan,
After all the National Tennis centre is three miles down the road at Stirling University and there are public tennis courts, often unused, in both Bridge of Allan and Dunblane
