Today the plan was for Alan and Andrew to go up Blackpool Tower, with both challenged to go onto the glass floor :-)

They were planning to go up the Tower at 2pm but Andrew had asked David and me if we would take him into Blackpool earlier on a secret mission....or business trip as he told Christine and Ally :-)  He wanted to buy Blackpool rock for Alan's team and a postcard to write a message to go along with it. 

We headed off to Blackpool just after midday and managed to get parked not far from the Tower.  David took Andrew to one of the million rock shops and he was bought what he was looking for.  He had a McDonalds as well.  Met the rest of the gang and they headed off on their Tower adventure and David and I escaped Blackpool and headed to the lovely Lytham St Annes.  

The weather was dull, grey and breezy but we parked at a lovely spot, got out the car and went for a wander along the sea front.  We were really enjoying it but I had misjudged how cool it would be and was wearing a thin jacket, so we had to cut the wander short and head back to the car. 

We took a longer road back to Hambleton and enjoyed the scenic countryside.  Once back I painted for a while and D took Lola for a longer walk. 

The gang were late home (can't remember where they went after the Tower) and had had a great day again.  They were all chuffed with themselves as the'd all managed to go onto the glass floor.  Well Christine lay on it as she couldn't stand!  Made her feel ill!
