Precious Angels
Today a group of well wishes gathered near the shores of Caroline Bay sending flowers towards the sea in memory of the 3 young children (Liane, Maya, and Karla) whose lives recently were taken away from them. It was a beautiful day in Timaru. Just before the ceremony which was held at 2pm a huge dark cloud covered the Timaru district and soon after the rain came down like light showers as everyone arrived to say their farewell and parted. Sadly, due to the rain I could not move closer to the group, so sat in the car with my camera lens to capture people arriving and leaving, thinking of the sad memory of what had happened in our community.
After the ceremony, I drove home watching the sun drives its way forth parting the dark clouds and creating an afternoon of beautiful clear day again.
On Thursday, a candle light vigil was held near the family’s home where they lived for a short time. A sad ending of lives shortly lived.
Heading out today to capture a shot for my daily blip I cannot help thinking what must have triggered the mind of a young mother who decided to take the lives of her three beautiful daughters. I will always remember the day and will pray that the parents will find forgiveness and a better way forward.
