Hoebridge

Finally getting to use our voucher from Christmas for the rather lovely Hoebridge in Gattonside near Melrose. Beautiful building with scrubbed walls and wooden floors which looked amazing but boy, the acoustics were awful. So spent most of the meal saying ‘what?’ as we were drowned out by the drinking diners who progressively got louder. The food was grand, I had double duck, pate then sublime duck with parsnip purée delicious.
So verdict, great food, but lousy acoustics, could do with some soft furnishings! :))) expensive but cheap as chips with a voucher. The waiter was gutted ;)
