i hate computers
Complete waste of a day at work, just fixed computer problems that should have never happened to begin with. I was literally having every problem you possibly have. At one point I had to examine the IDE cable and I noticed a pin had snapped out of the cable. For anyone who knows computers, cables never break, it'd be like a mirror not having a reflection it just doesn't happen.
Then as if lighting can't strike two times in one day, I was having trouble w/this other drive that was just working fine and I was like what is going on here. I just happened to notice a small crack in the sata port for the sata cable. This was preventing a snug connection apparently, again very bizarre.
Now 8 hours later, I have all 4 computers back up on both networks and all the data that was not available I have been able to retrieve. I sent everyone home early today since it's so nice outside and just because my workday was useless doesn't mean, well I don't know what it means, but whatever.
My blip is of a hand written letter I got today. It's short yes, and in regards to an item I purchased a week or two ago, but handwritten regardless. I never receive hand written anything anymore so it was nice to get this. I'm sick of e-mails and text messages.
I also realized today I've been buying too much stuff lately. Today I got a present (dvds) I bought for somebody, some ear headphone thinggies and a heart rate monitor (tracks your calories burned, really cool). Earlier this week I bought shirts, sandals, some pills that were way too expensive from GNC, nintendo games (I got some real classics though, contra, ffII (not officially released), and like 100 others), and books from amazon . And earlier this month I bought a phone (get a blackberry bold!!), some gym accessories, an instrument, a digital camera (another present), a trip to Bermuda, and more shirts (i love bluefly). From now until the end of the month I'm not buying anything! Except groceries because my fridge is EMPTY!
I have no plans tonight, well I might go see Dave's band play, but right now I just want to take a nap and then work out. I gave in at work today and had pizza and m&m's, I guess that's my once a week slip-up that I seem to always have.
