Bike

Since K arrived home at 09:00, having texted me at 04:00 to say she was dossing with a friend in Edinburgh, it was naturally up to me to walk Django this morning. Afterwards, I did some work and had an encouraging exchange of emails with my brilliant developer. Then I watched the enthralling Chelsea Vs Manchester City game, thankful that BT Sport weren't showing United's disappointing loss at home to Villa.

I had a bit of lunch, and then went out on my bike. I always end up going further and for longer than I anticipate. I hadn't intended to go as far as Musselburgh on the old railway, and then had to find a route back through Edinburgh. I was Turfing, so that led me eventually to the Royal Infirmary and Craigmillar Castle. I was blessed with some lovely light as the sun dropped below the high clouds, and after taking this photo I had the fun of mountain biking down the steep grassy trails below the castle. After four-and-a-half hours in the saddle I got home at 19:30.
