Dreadful field, but a good day
Rode to Lechlade this morning, it's near Fairford where the RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) is held.
The field had been mown but not cleared. It was also very uneven with hidden holes and bumps making it quite treacherous for motorbikes and even pushchairs! Many young mothers were struggling to get their children around the exhibits.
However, it was a good day for the Riders Branch of the RBL, once people started to turn up the bikes attracted them, not only the children I must say, and many pounds clattered and fluttered into the poppy collection boxes.
The helicopter may be familiar to Bootneck, for the others it is a Gazelle. This is in RAF livery but is part of the Gazelle helicopter display team, mostly ex-Army Air Corps crews.
