York

A lovely day in York with Claire, she hadn’t been to Bettys before and wanted to go. C had the afternoon tea and I had salmon, fennel and apple salad, lemon torte and Blue Sapphire tea.

We had a wander around the shops and then it was time for another cuppa and a cupcake. “We’ve ran out of milk jugs so your milk is in a gravy boat”

There was a wedding at York Minster, we watched for a while, a look at the Shambles and then it was time for the train home.

I spotted a man and his two dogs in the rowing boat as we crossed the bridge near the station.

As C’s husband is a train driver they said we could sit in first class, they insisted on giving us a cuppa and more cake :-)
