I like puns.
Clarendon Cottage, Enfield, where the essayist Charles Lamb lodged in the early 1820s.
He liked puns. Here's a quote from him;
"A pun is not bound by the laws which limit nicer wit. It is a pistol let off at the ear; not a feather to tickle the intellect." A conversation with him would be an epic contest, as his friends found!
