Vasco da Gama

This was the cruise ship Vasco da Gama moored in Plymouth Sound this morning. The ship is operated by Nicko Cruises, Germany, and is currently near the end of a cruise around the British Isles.
International cruise ships have become a more regular sight in Plymouth Sound. The area around Millbay Docks where the Brittany Ferries berth has been greatly improved and I think it is hoped to have a terminal here for cruise ships to dock. It would be great to see ur international visitors given the sort of welcome I have seen in small Danish ports, where they are met with a welcoming band. Producing this sort of carnival atmosphere has the potential to raise everyone's spirits.
