Still learning

I’m usually at the wrong side of the loch or I’m too close to the action when the cygnets begin their flying lessons but this morning, after watching two of the cygnets lumbering their way down to the water I suddenly heard the unmistakable noise of wings flapping and there was number three preparing to take off. Not a long flight and keeping near the surface of the water this youngster made it to the middle of the loch.

Quite windy this morning but it was still lovely and warm. If the weather reports are to be believed the temperature is expected to drop in the next few days.
