Fractals

This shell, which I think is fossilised was gathered somewhere; perhaps a beach or an area where the product of sea dredging was dumped. I do tend to gather stones, shells and other detritus but never remember where the treasure was found!

I was struck by the similarity of the fractal-like end, to a Romanesco broccoli.

So I bought one (grown in the UK) to compare the details.

It will now be eaten (the Romanesco, not the shell).
