Over and Out

At first glance it appeared that this one was just a cranefly, clinging to the flower stem. But soon it was clear that something was amiss. The wings hung limply, moved only by the gentle breeze.  It may still have been hanging from the plant but life had ended for this creature. It’s position frozen at the end of its time.

Broken and abandoned, perhaps therefore it just about makes it as an entry into the Derelict Sunday challenge!
