Haworth 1940’s Day
Along with Corinthian travelled to Haworth for the 1940’s Day. Chatted to a chap on the bus who was going along as a member of the Home Guard. He said his boots weren’t quite right as they had rubber soles. The metal he had on his boot soles the previous year had caused him to aqua plane down the Haworth cobbles and take out an American soldier at the bottom of the hill - he was just sorry he had missed the Germans! Spotted WilsdenWalker and C outside Cobbles & Clay cafe and joined them for a coffee. Grandson F was working there today too so had a quick word. Some brilliant outfits on those taking part in the day, and some great vehicles down on the park, along with a fabulous band. Very enjoyable way to spend a few hours in such a lovely place. More photos in extras. Another adventure tomorrow…..!
