Almost the same view...

...as last year on this day. Taken quarter to eleven in the morning, so different light to last year's evening view. Another angle towards the farmhouse taken at 6 pm in the extra.

It was a beautiful day and warmer than lately, +13°C or perhaps even more, though that's not much compared to the record temperatures last year. Anyway, it hasn't been this warm in two weeks now. I had two walks, one before lunch in the woods around the pond, and another in the neighbourhood in the evening.

Sad news about the swans. I found one of the cygnets dead under a power line yesterday, and one of the parents hasn't been seen flying in a week or more. A more positive note: I think I saw a glimpse of a Black Grouse twice on the morning walk.
