Wonderful Wiltshire Weekend
The moody mist at dawn cloaked the Nadder Valley. After breakfast it began to lift as our 5 year old grandson and his father walked through the woods and fields to reach our holiday accommodation.
We went for a family walk around the lake where our Wiltshire family had lived in the first lockdown. A location familiar to us through many a video call.
Lunch in the garden of this pub was a further lovely occasion. Our youngest grandchild asked if her Gloucestershire cousins would be there too! Next time!
In the afternoon we had fun on the trampoline, the swing and with water pistols! (Second childhood syndrome?!!)
In the evening we were entertained by our self catering hosts. It turned out, by total fluke, we were close colleagues in our previous lives. Good to catch up with them in their impressive farmhouse setting. It really is a small world!
