September Monarch
This lovely lady spent hours this afternoon on the last blooms on our Butterfly Bush. I had a difficult time deciding on which shot to use. There's another open winged one in the extra.
T used our borrowed apple picking tool to free the old pear tree of her bounty. I took one in side and peeled it with a potato peeler and sliced it thin. It actually tasted quite good. Not soft like a ripe juicy pear, but a crisp texture more apple-ish. We happened to have some Brie, so I sliced some to go with the pears and the snack was quite delicious. We'll save some and see what can be done with them. Some will go in the woods for the deer and rabbits. You can see the cartful in the extra.
One of my surprise painting was delivered safely yesterday. The other is drying and the presentation will have to wait a bit.
For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny.
All hands wary, but we enjoyed our weekend.
