I Can See Clearly Now.....

...The Rain is Gone...

What is that I see before me? BLUE sky? WHITE fluffy clouds? The SUN? It's been a long time!  Too long! The day started out as usual with rain but before we knew it, the sun was breaking through....It is still sweater weather, but much brighter than it has been for ages...What a treat. We could finally spend more time outdoors...AND.. the forecast is looking much better, so there may still be more days to spend sitting in the sun on the dock before heading home later this week.

It was a day of "wrapping up" in many ways. My daughter and son-in-law leave tomorrow to go home and will be back only to close the cottage on Thanksgiving weekend. They spent the day organizing, weeding out,  cleaning, storing, and gathering up items to take home for the winter now rather than later. As this will be my last trip here for the year, I have to organize and pack up all my things...but I still have a few more days to do that. 

It is hard to imagine that the season is over...Even my brother who stays on at his cottage longer than we do, has started to wrap up..Today, while he had my daughter and SIL here to help, he got his SeaDoo to town, out of the water and ready for winter storage. and that  is just the beginning... there will soon be outdoor items to store, more boats to come out, docks to remove..  

Closing-up time looms...and cottaging for 2021 will be at an end...
