Overlooking Kingarrock

A bright sunny day at Hill of Tarvit, with a surprisingly large number of visitors, and the welcome sight of the mobile Barrista.

The sad news of today is that Diana Gordon Smith had died following complications from a Heart Attack. Diana is much loved by her volunteer friends. She had volunteered for 21 seasons.

Diana was also a descendent of Robert Stevenson of The Lighthouse Stevensons. We had often chatted about her forebears during the quite interludes.

Today’s Blipfoto is the view from Hugh Sharp’s bedroom which overlooks the first tee of Kingarrock Golf Course.

Hugh was a great golfer, the Sharp family having a significant influence on the game in Scotland and in France.

The good news for the volunteers is that Claudia N-P has been appointed to a permanent role at the Mansionhouse.

Hopefully this presages a return to a more normal season in 2022.
