I've been hoping to find fungi during my wanderings through the forest with little success so far - but then noticed this one by a hedge alongside a newly-vacated pitch on the campsite this morning. It's not recently emerged, & comes complete with fallen hawthorn leaves & a miniature water feature, the latter presumably created during the heavy rain at about 05:30 this morning, when I had to get up to shut the roof lights in the van.

The weather's improved now, so will take S for a walk this afternoon after it's dried up a bit. P has stayed over on the boat for the last couple of nights - looks as if the work has been progressing well from the photo C sent last evening.
