Carpets

The carpet fitters are with us today, making it a day of mostly staying indoors, listening to the banging (who knew carpets could be so noisy?) ferrying cups of coffee and that. On a short walk, I passed this handsome but long-empty building, which has, over the past 25 years, had several successive incarnations as a pub, hotel, restaurant and questionable fire.
