Buzzard!

Forgot to blip! - went for what turned out to be quite a long walk for me, and mostly off the beaten track across rough ground which is usually inaccessible due to mud and often flooded, between Short Ferry and the Witham. Beautiful weather, and up to 24C, amazing for late September. Lots of interest and blip opportunities: sun on the water, swans, a kestrel hovering and flitting about, game birds running about (partridges I think), big Lincolnshire skies with cirrus clouds heralding the impending change of weather... and best of all, surprised a magnificent pale-coloured buzzard perching in a small tree - seemed huge close-up, so probably female... That's why I've chosen this relatively boring pic: you might be able to see a tiny spec directly above the small tree in the centre of the horizon: that is her, soaring into the distance - I didn't try to photograph her close up as I wouldn't have been quick enough, so just decided to watch and enjoy the fleeting moment before she disappeared into the distance.
