The European Average Golf Association

The competitors arrived late on Friday night and prepared by sampling a few Belgian beers and playing ping pong. This morning a breakfast fit for an Olympian was served and then Neil, Matt, Luke and Rick headed out to brave the rain and sleet and freezing temperatures.

In the meantime myself, Olivia and Dexter went to Olivia's dance class, braved the freezing elements in the playground, came home, skyped family and baked banana muffins and generally chilled the afternoon away. It was really quite pleasant as it was the first time I had dared to do any baking with Dexter and he was an absolute star and loved every minute of it. He then ate spaghetti for the first time ever which is a huge step forward for us as he is a particularly difficult eater!

During the course of the afternoon the golfers returned, warmed up, got changed and then headed out into Brussels for Moules Frites and more Belgian beer. They refused to tell me the result as it was to be announced this evening. I could hardly wait (to be read with sarcasm).

Anyhoo, after a long winded speech given by hubby (he likes to talk) it turns out that he actually won.

I'm so proud.
