Kariba dam wall....

Lovely day today - went to see the dam wall this morning - it is being maintained and has been for the past few years because of damage to the base of the wall which could result in a catastrophe!  Its quite an amazing structure holding an immense amount of water behind the wall (181 billion cubic litres at maximum)!

In the evening we took a boat ride to the wall and this is where I took this photo from! Very hot and balmy evening today!  Great to see Siavonga busy for the weekend after the difficult covid months the lodges have had!
