Bradgate Evening
We were on the opposite side of the county today and took the chance to take a delightful early autumn, late afternoon, walk in Bradgate Park, once the home of Lady Jane Grey, the 'Nine Days Queen'.
I wish I could have a shilling for every photo that's ever been taken of the deer here. Here's another one, anyway, with Cropston Reservoir in the distance.
Later on we saw two or three dozen martins and swallows still feeding busily over a favoured hill - nice to see as we once again saw very few in our neck of the woods this year.
Extras include shot of the war memorial and the 'Old John' folly atop the hill of the same name, the highest in the park.
