Day Out

Schwitters at Tate Britain- academically and historically interesting. Loved it but maybe didn't need so many of the small collages.
Looking at the View at Tate Britain - excellent mixed exhibition - recommended. I could happily go back.
Manet at the RA - Glad I am a 'friend' so I felt as though I had got into the exhibition for nothing. The exhibits could have been halved and the show would not have been affected. Added to the crowded space it made it even less enjoyable.
George Bellows at the RA - Fabulous paintings and stunning drawings and lithographs. Last phase of work a little odd, but he had every right to seek out a little calm and a rural idyll after his time portraying the American urban underbelly. Fantastic landscape painting too. Wow another recommended exhibition.
Walking around London in the freezing cold - bearable as it was with Mr Man!
