Meteora Monasteries

We saw all of the six still functional monasteries, three of them also from the inside. It‘s very impressive how they are perched on the peaks of towering sandstone pillars. I couldn’t stop taking pictures and added some in the extra.
No wonder that the region is an Unesco world heritage site.
