A new kid on the block!
A large RAF plane flew over the house this morning, one that I had never seen before, so I looked it up on Plane Finder. I realised that it was doing circuits and would be back round. A quick scrabble to get the big camera then out to the garden clutching both camera and mobile phone to track the route. It flew over closer to Lincoln, so is smaller in this picture.
We have been at home today, with people visiting us, a reverse of yesterday's activities. The window cleaners arrived, much to Amber's excitement. Then a delivery of meat from Aberdeenshire.
S is heading to Canada tomorrow so he brought his chilli plants over for me to care for in our potting shed, save me driving over to water them. They are enormous ......a possible blip another day.
I was able give him the bags and sock rabbits to take for the children.
The skies were blue this morning, but it poured with rain as we set out for the afternoon walk with Amber. The chap in extras was more than wet after his Eskimo roll in the canal.
Ps this new plane is an E-7 Wedgetail, a replacement for the E-3D Sentry which is being retired from service after 30 years. The information was found on the Lincolnite which reported on the visit by Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex for a Royal Parade. We won’t be seeing these new aeroplanes flying about as the squadron, 8 squadron will operate out of Lossiemouth.
