Tiny Tuesday

These are the charging connectors for my trusty 7-year-old Microsoft Surface Tablet/Laptop convertible, which still gives excellent service running Windows 10. The top photo is the connector on the charging lead and the lower one on the tablet itself. As you'll see from the paint chips on the lower one, it's been subject to a fair amount of trauma on its frequent trips round the UK as well as many places further afield. I bought it the month after I started blipping back in 2014.

Why so many contacts? Because it can be connected either way round, and it's magnetic so if you trip over the lead it just comes off (and yes, I have tested that a few times...!).
