A wet day in Truro
With the weather forecast for rain all day we decided on a bus trip to Truro and a look at the cathedral. It actually turned out to be a good day as the cathedral itself was interesting in that it is not as old as it might at first appear. Timeline here.
In the county museum we found a fascinating gallery display by the Cornish Artist Tony Foster. He paints watercolours of the world's wild places but includes, in the mount, short diary style notes on the route to and the few days around when the painting was done, small map sections and often some found items from wherever he was painting. Sometimes just a small bottle of snow melt, in others pebbles or sand.
More here on his work.
Sunny (ish) tomorrow so we might cycle to a beach :-)
