Suddenly, Celandines

Walked a different way into town today, and was surprised by celandines everywhere, so cheerful against the bright green grass and the blue sky - these were above the wall on the way to the castle. It always feels like a second spring when we get the autumn rains here, such a relief after all the heat and dryness.

Gratefuls:
- fresh, sun-dried bedding, and aired pillows and quilt
- that Aduro is OK; she got attacked by something (a male cat?) in the garden last night, terrible yowling and came streaking in covered in poo; had to give her two baths to get rid of the smell
- a clean house, had to make sure there was no poo anywhere!
