Tiny Houses
For the homeless. Just a drive by on our way to do some errands, which included our regular fall flu shot at the pharmacy!…now I have one in each arm! Expecting good health. :-)
These weren’t here the last time I drove by this prime U district location a few days ago.…. And it seems they are still being moved in. Supposed to be 36 units, “Rosie’s tiny village” is built on a former Sound Transit construction site for the Light Rail that is creeping north . They are temporary homes on wheels in a village with shared bathroom and kitchen. There are 8 “villages” in Seattle so far with many more proposed. They are Intended to replace the camps and provide shelter while people are looking for permanent housing. Seems to me it’s not going to solve the big problem but every little bit helps. If you want to know more….HERE is an old article about the proposed village.
