Day 8 Level 3 Lockdown
We didn’t rush to go out this morning, so it was 11:15am before we were ready to head out the door for our walk. I called a walking friend to see if she’d like to meet for a socially-distanced take-away coffee, only to discover she and two other of our walking friends were already down in St Heliers. We agreed to meet them there and enjoyed a socially-distanced coffee and chat standing outside in the sunshine. Our friend had come prepared with some little sweet treats to nibble on while we chatted. How thoughtful!
As we parted company the rain started, so we changed our mind about continuing our walk and, instead, bought some delicious pies from the St Heliers Home Cookery and dropped in to have lunch with Mum, who was very appreciative.
Before starting lunch I popped around to the bowling green at Mum’s retirement village and took a photo of the lavender plants in full flower lining the side of the green. I managed to get the blip while the sun was shining before the rain started again.
There were 45 new community cases today, which was something of a shock. However, the Government has said the spike in numbers was expected and to hold our nerve.
