Beauty is all around us.

Two Swans and three cygnets.

The Feast Day of Saint Michael and All Angels.
It is a rainy day here in Rishton, 10c outside, 20c indoors. I hoped to get a walk without being soaked, but I was pretty much saturated!  My purple coat has a hood so it was not too bad. I was more concerned about the camera getting a drenching, than me. I went out when there was a dry interlude, but it changed very quickly. I found joy seeing the two swans and their young cygnets waiting optimistically for some bread from the canal cafe, where they get fed most days at 10:30am. The green carpet of algae has remained on the surface of the canal for a few months now.
Enjoying some hot tea and glad to be in the warm, doing our washing and drying now the drier is working again. I am waiting for a parcel delivery of some Cath Kidston hand sanitIsers. They are beautiful and handbag size.
I hope you can all get petrol when needed.
Stay safe and well. Thanks for dropping by today.
The St. Michael Prayer.
St. Michael, glorious Archangel, defend us in the day of battle,
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, by the power of God, thrust down to hell, Satan and all other evil spirits, who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
