Enterprise in Action

We're back tonight because the pupils are still working away with their Wyllie ideas.

Inverclyde has a two-day exhibition about enterprise in action running today and tomorrow, and two of the primary schools have chosen to feature their work about George Wyllie on their stands. We're blipping about one of the schools today, All Saints PS, and tomorrow's blip will be about the other school, Gourock PS.

So, tonight it is All Saints Primary where P5 continue to campaign to save the 'Monarch of Auchmountain Glen', a Wyllie scul?ture of a stag.

Elle, one of the pupils confidently manned the All Saints stand today, explaining to visitors how the class had found out about local artist, George Wyllie, how they had visited the exhibition at the Mitchell and taken part in a special event at his 'Monument to Maternity' scul?ture, and she went on to talk about how the class had campaigned for the restoration of Wyllie's scul?ture of a stag, located near the school and had now adopted by the class.

What a joy tonight to see pupils, some four months after their visit to the exhibition, so confidently sharing what they learned. Well done P5, All Saints Primary School!
